What You'll Get
When limited cargo space left ancient Scots with nary a cranny for their throwing and bouncing balls, convenient giant wormholes gave birth to the handy storage idea that would become golf. Today's Groupon harkens back to the days of athletic storage with four rounds of miniaturized golfing for $15 at The Putt Park Miniature Golf Course, up to a $34 value depending on age. Las Vegas's sole outdoor mini-golf course hosts picturesque views, Saturday-night glow-in-the-dark cosmic golfing, and plenty of putting practice for adults and mini mini-golfers alike.
Sitting under the protective gaze of the mountainous Vegas skyline, The Putt Park employs 18 individual holes with 18 individual personalities. Unlike the smug flashiness of 19-hole baker's courses, The Putt Park's front and back nine challenge a putter's geometric intuition, wrist control, and steely nerve, as sloping greens merge with patches of dense grass. A smattering of tall trees reminds all club-fiddlers that golf is a sport that shares communion with nature and the fickle forces of reward and frustration. Practice the two-fisted putter waltz and the behind-the-back Entitled Titleist, or nurture the golf lust that percolates within the gritty determination of a 5-under-par youngster.
Four games provide plenty of rehearsal to truly get to know a course or an enjoyable afternoon with three life-sized pals. All four rounds must be redeemed in a single visit, and any manner of checkered knickers and argyle knee-highs are strictly welcome.
The Fine Print
Promotional value expires Oct 1, 2010. Amount paid never expires. No cash value. Must redeem all four rounds in single visit. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services.
About The Putt Park Miniature Golf Course
The Putt Park Miniature Golf Course takes putt-putt posses careening across 18 undulating greens that challenge ball rollers of all abilities. The slick faux-grass corridors snake through shady trees and craggy rocks, surprising par hunters as they attempt to sink deviously sloped putts and covertly falsify their scorecards. At nightfall on Fridays and Saturdays, The Putt Park swaps out their standard balls in favor of phosphorescent orbs, which players tap towards illuminated cups during cosmic mini golf. After a day of sinking dramatic holes-in-one or stunning six-putts, players can retreat to the indoor snack bar for icy sips of soft drinks or velvety tastes of ice cream before lounging around indoor or outdoor picnic tables.
