Like a potato, if the human body is not properly mashed and moisturized, it will never be used for anything more than a science project battery. Make sure your body is properly fluffed and buttered with today's soothing Groupon: for $90, you get the Rock Star full- body treatment (a $185 value) at either The Raven Spa in Silver Lake or El León Spa in West Hollywood.
Both locations feature serene Zen-like rooms, along with an attentive, experienced staff that will make sure each fleshoskeleton leaves in tip-top shape. A massage therapist will start with the Extremity Remedy, where feet and hands will be washed, scrubbed, and massaged with Dead Sea salts and lavender oil. Afterwards, you'll be pulled, pushed, and kneaded during a one-hour rigorous, yet relaxing traditional Thai massage performed by practitioners who use their entire body (knees, legs, hands, feet, talons, finger in between ring finger and middle finger, and knees) to stretch your body with a series of yogic positions. Finish with the Facelift, a half-hour head, neck, and face massage topped off with an organic mask and an audio book narrated by Mickey Mantle. Call ahead to schedule your appointment.
The Raven Spa has a good deal of local and national press coverage featured on its website, including features in Elle magazine, Yogi Times, and DailyCandy. Yogi Times and DailyCandy also featured El León Spa. Yelpers give The Raven Spa and El León Spa an average of 4.5 stars.

The Raven Spa
Guests arriving to The Raven Spa may find themselves feeling like they've traveled a thousand miles away from their everyday cares. The aesthetic is both spiritual and indulgent, with stone statues that stand sentinel beside a plush purple couch and lush, sun-drenched drapes and glistening chandeliers holding court over an eastern-inspired communal massage chamber. A colorful patio overflowing with exotic flowers welcomes visitors to sit and soak in sunlight streaming between red and white umbrellas, creating a peaceful oasis for quiet reading or self-reflection. "Whoever comes here feels like it's their own," a front desk manager told LX TV's 1st Look, "Our whole goal is to take you away from whatever's out there."
The spa's international decor also mirrors its diverse menu of services, which includes acupuncture, facials, and hammam––a traditional Turkish soak that corrals plant extracts and herbs to nourish and detoxify the body. Therapists work out imbedded muscle kinks through seven varieties of massage including traditional Thai massage, which combines rhythmic kneads with yoga-like stretches and Hawaiian lomi lomi massage, which often sees practitioners using their elbows to nudge tension until it gets the hint and leaves.
