Q:

The last and only time I got a facial (elsewhere), my relaxing experience was tainted by the tecnician attempting to sell me skin products. What should have been a pampering treatment left me feeling guilty for not agreeing to purchase products that, I felt, were being pushed on me. Will my experience at your Retreat be more relaxing?

I'm not an aesthetician who sells products during a treatment. My client is there for a skin care treatment and relaxation. I will only make skin care recommendations following the treatment. When that does happen, pretend to be asleep and snore a bit!

Treatments purchased must be used by the same person each visit. Depending on the skin type, clients normally come in every 3 to 5 weeks. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you, Joan Kelley

Q:

Is this facial good/recommended for acne prone skin or skin with existing acne?

r  asked on  Oct 11, 2012

A:

The HydraFacial is great for acne prone skin with current breakouts. Where traditional microdermabrasion cannot be used on skin with existing breakouts, the HydraFacial can. Also, with this treatment, I select serums for your individual skin type. Please let me know if you have any further questions. You can also go to my website and find more information as well as a video about the HydraFacial treatment. www.retreatspaoc.com Thank you for asking! Joan

The HydraFacial is great for Rosacea. I have several clients with Rosacea who say their Rosacea symptoms have nearly vanished with the HydraFacial treatments.
