About Rockapulco Run

The Rockaway Running Series is an extension of the Rockapulco Summer Series, which first stretched its legs in 2001 setting up summertime boardwalk races. Today, though, the Rockaway Running Series covers every season with a full year-round calendar of events. The organization and members of its local club, the Rockaway Gliders, hosts community-minded races ranging from Father's Day fun runs to end-of-summer half-marathons to the signature Rockaway Marathon in October. Come Christmastime, the series caps off the year with the Santa Suit 5K, during which participants don their own red suits and re-create the way Santa delivers sweaty toys to all the world's children.
