The Saucy Italian Bistro
After running Mykonos Cafe & Taverna for years, it was natural for restaurateur Maria Constantine to open up The Saucy Italian Bistro. Like her former restaurant, the bistro embraces leisurely meals spent splitting different dishes and lingering over wine with friends and family. But instead of Greek food, The Saucy Italian Bistro serves up northern Italian cuisine.
The chefs follow traditional recipes, pairing tender cuts of veal with marsala sauce, spooning a light champagne butter sauce over mushroom ravioli, and crowning pizza with fresh mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes, and basil. They also add their own unique touches, whipping up gluten-free pizza crusts and creating both traditional and Italian-style brunch eats, such as omelets topped with alfredo or marinara sauce.
