During two-hour historic homes walks, guides teach tourists about historic preservation and Savannah’s rich history while passing by a number of grand old mansions, the historic Meldrim House, and the Owens-Thomas House. Ninety-minute gates and gardens tours represent a showcase of 22 major squares and parks, visiting areas that exhibit elegant ironwork, and glimpses into private gardens.<p>

The Savannah Walks

The Savannah Walks leads newcomers and locals alike through the shadowy, moss-laden squares of Savannah’s historic colonial district during informative guided tours. Each outing provides a unique twist on the city and its unmistakable charm, covering topics such as Savannah during the Civil War, historic fine homes, majestic gates and gardens, and local pubs. Tour guides all boast scholastic bona fides, including among them three published authors and three college professors. The Savannah Walks easily accommodates school groups, civic organizations, corporations, celebrities, and animals standing on each other's shoulders under an overcoat.

Super tour!

Lance was great! He had great stories and knew his history of Savannah! It made it very entertaining and exciting! And we even may have gotten a picture of a ghost!

The guide walked rather fast, but to see everything, I guess he had to walk fast. I would have liked it if he had stopped long enough for everyone to gather close enough to hear him at every stop.
