What You'll Get
Attempts to pair yoga with other athletic activities haven't always been successful, since yoga mats tend to slip around hockey rinks and racehorses lack the patience to hold a downward-dog pose. Meld quiet meditation and fast movement with today's Groupon: for $150, you get three months of unlimited classes at The Spinning Yogi in Lakewood (a $300 value).
The inspired, passionate instructors at The Spinning Yogi weave together a schedule of classes in varied disciplines to strengthen core fitness and overall physical and mental health. The centerpiece of The Spinning Yogi's curriculum, the spin/yoga class, fuses intense cardio and Vinyasa-yoga principles as students pedal away from imaginary bank heists for 30 minutes, burning up to 500 calories, followed by another 30 minutes of quiet, flowing meditation. Sunrise power-yoga classes start each day with a balanced breakfast of yoga blocks and hand weights, building strength and toning muscle in a gently warmed room, and hot-yoga classes turn up the thermostat for a series of 26 precise postures that cause stress to melt away faster than a snowman in a jacuzzi.
Promoting health and wellness even after the workout, The Spinning Yogi dispenses cool, refreshing lavender cloths after spinning sessions and pours complimentary green tea to cleanse the body.

About The Cycling Yogi
Colorado native and studio owner Patsy Juarez lives to move. Before moving to Denver to earn her bachelor of science in business management, she spent her days rollerblading and lifting weights and her evenings recovering at her night-shift job. Her passion for exercise eventually led her to yoga and spinning, which she and her team of instructors now combine to share with guests of all fitness levels at The Cycling Yogi. The cycle-yoga hybrid class is split into 30 minutes of yoga-infused cycling, followed by 30 minutes of Vinyasa-style yoga, which helps bikes recover from mad chain disease. The studio also offers more traditional stretch sessions, in which yogis grace their mats with meditative-focused practices, prenatal modifications, and yoga sculpt poses. At the beginning of 2014, The Cycling Yogi expanded their yoga offerings with a yoga-only studio.
