This is the fourth time family members and I have experienced the Starlight Fleet dolphin cruise. It has become a summer tradition. It is a well organized excursion, with free parking-- if you get there early enough (though you could be blocked in for a few minutes when leaving as cars are stacked). This time we boarded the 930Am tour, which was much, much less crowded than the previous evening tours we took. The boat is spotless and offers a 2hr excursion complete with history lessons, included snack and beverage, and in this case, a lesson on various crabs--as well as seeing the dolphins. Children/adults were permitted to touch the crabs and ask questions. Crew members are always ready and willing to assist, leaving you with a good experience. The evening tours-- over the passed three years-- included a conga line, and line dancing, and a chance for the kids to take a turn driving the boat (no crab experience). The captain is always kind and maintains an excellent rapport with the children on board. I prefer the evening tour to the day tour....more of a party atmosphere---bring hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and jacket--no matter which tour you choose. There are two tables with benches on the upper deck-- we always try to get one so we can sit and enjoy our food. Like any water excursion--the water can be choppy (part of the excursion is in the ocean)--if you are susceptible to motion sickness, be prepared with Dramamine or the like. Well worth the money!
