No, you do not need a personal fishing license when you join our trips, as the vessel holds the necessary permits.
What happens if there's severe weather?
We operate rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather that requires us to cancel a trip, you will be offered the option to reschedule your trip or receive a voucher for a future event.
What should I do with the fish I catch, and is fish cleaning available?
You can choose to catch and release, or keep your fish. We provide bags for your catch. Our mates are happy to clean your fish for a nominal fee, which they will determine.
Is this deep sea fishing trip suitable for children or those without experience?
Absolutely! Children of all ages are welcome, and we even offer reduced-price tickets for those 12 and under. No prior fishing experience is necessary, as our experienced mates will provide instruction and assist you every step of the way. Non-fishing guests can also join at a junior-priced ticket.
Can I bring my own food and drinks on board?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. For alcoholic beverages, you may bring beer (one 6-pack per person, cans only), but hard alcohol is not permitted. A small cooler is also allowed. We also have a snack bar onboard that sells snacks, beer, soda, and water (cash only).
I have my own equipment - what kind of gear do I need to bring
If you are bringing your own equipment, a standard saltwater rod and reel will be sufficient.

About The Starlight Fleet
The Starlight Fleet has been serving customers for 49 years. The ships that comprise The Starlight Fleet's squadron of vessels each transport passengers across the waves on a variety of sea adventures. The Starlight ferries fisherman on four-hour excursions to hook sea bass, flounder, croakers and triggerfish, the captain using sonar, GPS, and a knowledge of the currents to identify prime fishing real estate. The Atlantic Star typically serves as a whale-watching vessel and is kitted out with a snack-filled galley and a touch tank filled with horseshoe crabs and other local sea life.
The company even boasts its very own pirate ship, The Dark Star, a custom-designed vessel built by Naval Architect Michael LeMole. It takes passengers on swashbuckling adventures during which they learn what a swash is and how to buckle it, as well as participate in treasure hunts and face painting.
