What You'll Get
Like a hiker's backpack, a sandwich transports nutrients, was concocted with plenty of imagination, and must be strategically filled to sustain a trekker for three months in the Smoky Mountains. Fill your stomach sack wisely with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of freshly made sandwiches, salads, wings, and more at The Sub Spot in Brassfield Shopping Center.
When they aren’t juggling fresh salads or putting the zing in wings, The Sub Spot’s sub chefs tuck fine cheeses and Boar's Head premium deli meats in blankets of freshly baked bread, hearty wraps, or flatbread pitas. Lackluster sandwiches are loathed at The Sub Spot, so creatively customize your sandwich with a plethora of toppings and up to two meats (such as Ovengold roasted turkey, pastrami, corned beef, and blazing buffalo chicken) and one kind of cheese (choose from provolone, white American, yellow cheddar, Swiss, dill havarti, or pepper jack). Or, opt for a Sub Spot specialty like the steak and cheese. All 6" subs are $4.95, and 12" subs are $6.95. For a post-meal breath of fresh sugar, try the gooey, freshly baked chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin walnut, or white chocolate macadamia nut cookies ($0.49 each, three for $1.40).
Because The Sub Spot has a classic sub spot décor (a row of tables against the wall, drop lights, a counter of gleaming meats and veggies protected by a plutonium sneeze guard) and a friendly staff, it’s a comfortable spot to test out a surgically implanted double stomach. Or, request a briefcase of fixings for carryout and open it to secretly snack during a mundane meeting.
The Sub Spot was reviewed by Go Triad, which says:
- The next time I'm too busy to cook or just get a craving for a good sandwich, I'll definitely skip the fast-food subs and visit The Sub Spot. – Jennifer Bringle, Go Triad
