At The Subtle Point Denver Acupuncture Clinic we help restore your health with holistic medicine with acupuncture, herbs, diet modification, photobiomodulation, gua sha, cupping, and lifestyle advice. Our acupuncture clinic is located just North of The Denver Tech Center. We utilize both ancient and modern techniques to help you achieve your optimal level of health.

Acupuncture - works by stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles, with fine filiform (solid) needles. The result of this stimulation has been shown to: cause the body to release pain relieving endorphins, increase circulation at the site of needle insertion, reduce inflammation, etc.

Gua Sha - is a technique in which a smooth edged tool is used to scrape different body regions. The scraping increases circulation to the area, and helps to reduce inflammation. Usually a medicated massage oil is used as a lubricant on these regions, which also helps to better treat certain conditions. It is most often used for musculoskeletal issues involving pain and tightness, and traditionally it is frequently used to lower fever.

Cupping - is a method of treating musculoskeletal ailments by creating local, and temporary congestion. A glass cup and fire are used to create a partial vacuum over a small area of the body which draws up the underlying tissue to improve circulation and creating space between the muscle and fascia. The sensation of cupping has been described as being similar to a deep tissue massage. Cupping is most often used to treat musculoskeletal conditions, common cold, and cough.
