For nearly half a century, the touring program of Vermont's prestigious Marlboro Music Festival has been matching up exciting up-and-coming artists with distinguished veteran musicians to present familiar masterworks and lesser-known gems. Now they come to Chicago to perform with New York Philharmonic principal clarinetist (and Chicago native) Anthony McGill for a compelling program of works by Beethoven, Penderecki and Brahms. Discover why The Washington Post has described the ensemble as a "virtual guarantee of excellence" whose existence makes one "happy to be alive." See event description for complete program.
