The UPS Store
As the brick-and-mortar extension of UPS's international shipping network, The UPS Store offers all the same packing and shipping services as its parent brand. People can have documents or packages sent with their choice of shipping options, from standard Ground service to Next Day Air, all using an in-store selection of envelopes and boxes in a broad range of sizes. Similarly, those expecting deliveries can ask for email or phone alerts, and can opt to have packages left at their choice of address or UPS Store location. The stores specialize in shipping fragile items, including electronics, china, and replicas of the Taj Mahal made entirely out of egg shells. They can even handle large freight items, such as cars and antiques.
Beyond packing and shipping, The UPS Store has also become known for their Small Business Solutions program, in which merchants can set up house accounts for printing, mailbox, shipping, notary, and other services. Group authorization enables multiple employees to have access to the account, and monthly billing ensures companies can easily track their expenses. The on-site mailboxes are accessible 24 hours a day, accept deliveries from all carriers, and have a traditional street address (as opposed to a P.O. box number), which, like a business suit woven from $100 bills, looks more professional. Regular clients can also take advantage of these services a la carte, as well as miscellaneous services such as faxing and passport photos.
