It was a great experience for my girlfriend's bachelorette party. Very cool venue and the instructor was very personable and a great teacher. We had so much fun!

Reliable methods for remembering the past include sifting through old photographs, eating madeleine cookies with tea, and hiring neighborhood dachshunds to reenact the signing of the Constitution. Today's Groupon adds a professional touch and a few glittering showgirls to one's memory-animation: for $45, you get a general-admission ticket (a $95 value after tax) to Vegas! The Show. Vegas! The Show, which purports to be the Strip's largest stage production in almost 20 years, recently opened at the Saxe Theater inside the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Shows run every night (except Sundays) at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.; call ahead to reserve tickets.

As the glitzy and glamorous show travels through time to re-tell the story of the city's most colorful characters, including Elvis, the Rat Pack, Tina Turner, and Elton John (to name a few), a heralded cast reanimates vintage Vegas scenes to the robust rhythms of a live, big-band orchestra—singing, twirling, and dancing their way through a fast-paced Sin City spectacle of lights, glitter, butter, and bravado. Relive the decadence of the '70s TV era with a Sonny and Cher number, or delight a stalwart Elvis believer by dangling an undead version of the King before his or her very eyes. As your eyes fill with flashbacks to the Technicolor glory days of desert-based hedonism, bask in a nostalgic wonderland of leggy kick lines, dapper tuxedos, clinking cocktails, and a rat pack that's far more elegant than the one currently infesting the crawlspace back home.

Musical revues are a multisensory way to catch up on history, which is why the History Channel's biography on Stalin had so many scenes of him tap-dancing. Revel in the sights, sounds, and chocolatey smells of a bygone era in Vegas history, minus the fear and/or loathing, with today's Groupon to Vegas! The Show.

  • That production…is [choreographer, director and costumer Tiger] Marina's newest triumph - albeit with the most classic material. Set in a neon boneyard, it brings to life the people and properties that made Vegas what it is today. – where
  • Hats off to the performers and producers and choreographers. Wonderful job! Best show in Vegas right now. – Katie S., Yelp

About Vegas! The Show

Producer and V Theater owner David Saxe was born into Vegas show business, raised by a mother who danced at Les Folies Bergere and a father who led the band for the Rat Pack. Saxe’s V Theater runs its nine concurrent shows in a 40,000-square-foot space divided into four showrooms on multiple floors, each retaining an intimate feeling with seating that brings the audience closer to performers. The V Theater’s current shows range from a seven-act, family-friendly Ultimate Variety Show to Marc Savard’s Comedy Hypnosis, an entertaining act where Savard persuades audience members to hilariously dance, act like animals, and ghostwrite his autobiography.
