Wine stored in a bottle gets better with age, whereas a message sent in a bottle is the best way to avoid exorbitant stamp prices. This Groupon is valid at the following locations: Centre Street or Crowchild Trail. The winemaking experience includes:

Staffed by a troupe of award-winning winemakers, The Vineyard equips vino enthusiasts with Winexpert’s World Vineyard varietal kits and wine-crafting gear. After customers explain their taste preferences, the staffs send discerning tongues on blind dates with refined, international grape varietals such as German muller and Italian barolo, and blends such as California trinity red. Before heading home to begin blending, new wine owners undergo a one-hour class with owner Tom Corbett, a certified Level 3 winemaker and accredited wine judge. Tom introduces students to each piece of home winemaking equipment and their kit’s ingredients and outlines the fermentation process from initial mixing to bottling to the wine’s awkward adolescent phase.

Using their basic winemaking kit, new owners delve into a four-step blending and fermentation process. Winesmiths follow included instructions to blend the base ingredients and yeast in the kit’s fermenter and then cap it to allow the juice privacy during its primary fermentation. Crafters then transfer juice to the provided carboy and allow wine to clarify, stabilize, and learn to pronounce the word sommelier over the next four to five weeks. At the end of the process, winemakers transfer piquant pours into 30 750ml bottles. The Vineyard’s custom-made corks allow customers to store bottles in any configuration, and the staff welcomes calls for assistance at any time during the process.
