What You'll Get
Grammy Award-winning choir The Washington Chorus is a widely recognized cultural leader in the Washington, D.C. area, performing for presidents, foreign dignitaries, and large crowds at The Kennedy Center and other venues throughout the region. In their latest concert program at National Presbyterian Church, New Music for a New Age, The Washington Chorus and music director Julian Wachner present the works of composer Luna Pearl Woolf. Called "blazingly ardent and softly haunting" by The New York Times, Woolf's compositions on the program include Après Moi, le Déluge, inspired by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and scenes from The Pillar, an opera based on Bernie Madoff's betrayal of his investors.
