As we approach the end of the decade, history is aligning itself with another great turning point: the invention of the BK Stacker. Scientists believe that the absurdity generated by these synchronicities is approaching timewave zero, so come celebrate the dawn of Y2010K in style at The Westin Charlotte. For $149, you get a party package for yourself and another at this stunning hotel, a $299 value.
Your ticket includes a hotel room for two, an hour of open bar, a three-course meal, and a midnight champagne toast. Gather a couple of couples for a grown-up evening of worry-free celebration. Check in after 3 p.m. on December 31 and out by noon the next day. In between, enjoy a night of top-notch cuisine, fancy drinks, and wistful dancing. A live jazz combo band will be the soundtrack to your celebration; let their smooth notes carry you and your partner floating throughout the evening.
The open bar goes from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and includes an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvres. The tiny morsels lay the ground work for the courses to follow as the cocktails and adult beverages from the open bar whet the evening's whistle. Any extra drinks after the hour of open bar will be extra. Phase one of your package is followed by a three-course meal at the Ember Grille (located inside the hotel). Your first course options include rock shrimp gnocchi or carrot and ginger soup. For the entrees, pick from salmon, short ribs, filet mignon, or bucatini pasta. Lastly, satisfy your sweet tooth with a dark chocolate torte, pear tart, or honey panna cotta.
When midnight rolls around, so does a round of champagne. Toast to health, happiness, or the power to control your dreams and the dreams of others. When the party wraps up, retreat to your room for a night of dream-controlled sleeping. Each room comes with a bevy of features, including marshmallowy beds, high-speed Internet, and wardrobe portals to dimensions where childhood dreams become allegorical.
