About The White Tower Restaurant
The White Tower Restaurant is named after the storied White Tower of Thessaloniki, a sturdy monument constructed by the Ottomans in order to guard their city's harbour. In a similar fashion, the chefs at White Tower surround their menu's precious entrees and pita sandwiches with bastions of house-cut lemon roasted potatoes and saucers of greek salad. The Mediterranean menu includes plates of Manitoba pickerel, Angus new york strip steak, lamb chops, and souvlaki with skewered grilled chicken, lamb, or prawns.
The restaurant's casual interior makes its diners feel comfortable with a warm palette of saffron walls and burgundy-tinged wood. In the back, a piano sits in front of a mirrored wall, and fairy lights dangle over the well-stocked bar. Vivid cerulean-infused paintings match the cloud-like motif along the ceiling, and a stone-patterned wallpaper evokes White Tower's namesake while testing the self-restraint of graffiti artists.
