Art can express a variety of human feelings, from joy at the birth of a child to confusion at the birth of a man-child. Eloquently articulate your emotions with today's Groupon for painting classes at The Wine & Easel. Choose from the following options:

• For $12, you get one seat in a daytime, adult BYOB painting class (a $25 value).
• For $17, you get one seat in an evening, adult BYOB painting class (a $35 value).
• For $99, you get one spot in a weeklong Little Picasso's Art Camp for children (a $199 value).

The paint professors at The Wine & Easel offer step-by-step instruction in a fully equipped studio that allows aspiring artists to focus on creating individual, nuanced paintings in a fun environment. With a full palette of adult classes to choose from, upcoming paint projects include subjects as varied as color studies, food, Bryant Gumbel, and exotic creatures. Because experience is nonessential and an arsenal of supplies awaits each pair of masterpiece-making hands, eager tote bags can be put to work hauling lazy bottles of wine, ingredients for a favorite cocktail, or a pocket-size muse.

In the weeklong Little Picasso's Art Camp, kids 14 and younger can choose from a spectrum of classes that spark creativity and introduce them to new friends. The Drawing and Painting camp yields different versions for different age groups, with younger kids crafting images of food and flowers, and slightly older kids trying their hands at medieval-themed self-portraits, a perfect outlet for their subversive opinions on feudalism. The Fibers/Fashion Design camp stitches together lessons in sewing, embroidering, and fashion-portfolio creation for kids age 10–14, and the Mixed Media camp for various ages introduces mini artisans to painting, sculpture, collage, and advanced mixtapeology for wooing standoffish action figures.

Dabble Studio

If Dabble Studio has a lucky number, it's three. Not only was the downtown Nashville spot founded by a family of three (Jamie, Lynn, and TJ Fritz), it now helps visitors dabble in three disciplines. Below, we break down how visitors can explore each one.

  • Art: In BYOB painting classes that run for up to three hours, instructors walk students through the brushstrokes and techniques of that day's painting. By the end, tipsy painters have a finished canvas—depicting anything from a vase of flowers to a city skyline—to take home (along with plenty of fond memories).

  • Cooking: In BYOB cooking classes, led by chef Jamie, students learn to turn farm-to-table ingredients into delectable meals. Each session is hands-on, and all gear—including aprons—is provided.

  • Eating: On food tours, visitors explore the Nashville culinary scene in an air-conditioned, 14-person van. Along the way, groups may sample Mexican paletas, authentic hot chicken, or even chase down food trucks and swallow them whole.

  • Demonstrations: Demonstration classes are also offered, during which guests will learn by observing chefs in action while enjoying alcoholic beverages and plentiful samples (not BYOB).

Dabble Studio also offers classes combining cooking and painting, and will arrange private events for groups up to 50.

Came a little late because Frieda and I got lost due to construction. But they were so nice and accommodating. We were able to catch up in no time and enjoyed everything!
