The food was fantastic and the staff are just incredible. I highly recommend the duck, the frites, and the chocolate mouse desert.

Small portions but enjoyed the food/wine pairing experience.

Food was very good and we had a great experience. My only comment would be that it would be very expensive for us to go here without the groupon deal- if there was a prix fixe option or if the prices were a little lower, we would definitely come here regularly.

What You'll Get

Small tapas plates are the naturally selected descendants of large, lumbering entrees, which were too easily spotted by roving forks. Study culinary evolution with today's Groupon to The Wine Bar. Choose between the following options:

  • For $20, you get $40 worth of tapas and drinks Thursday–Saturday.
  • For $20, you get $45 worth of tapas and drinks Sunday–Wednesday.

At The Wine Bar, visitors can sip selections from a wine list boasting 200 hand-picked offerings while nibbling tapas crafted by Executive Chef Bryan Burke using fresh, locally sourced, naturally grown ingredients. The ever-changing menu includes such savouries as cheddar-and-apple salad, splashed with mustard vinaigrette ($9), or tempura summer squash, eggplant, and peppers dressed in sweet chili sauce ($10). Grilled quail arrives with an entourage of potato salad and watercress ($13), and rib-eye steak comes with sweet-potato fries, renowned for their pleasant disposition ($15). Oenophiles can quaff one of 200 wines served by bottle or glass. Swaddle palates in a light 2008 Foreign Affair riesling from Niagara Peninsula ($7.75/3 oz.) or a 2007 Galil Mountain Winery pinot noir ($9/3 oz.).

Guests can sample these comestibles and potables while lolling under chandelier light at the hardwood bar or can watch chefs prepare meals at open cooking stations. On Mondays, no corking fees means guests can free their restless champagne spirits free of charge.
