Like voluntary tasings and constructive criticism, some meals are best when delivered in small doses. Snack in stride with today's Groupon for tapas and other fresh local fare at The Wooden Vine Wine Bar & Bistro. Choose between the following options:

  • For $10, you get $20 worth of dinner fare.
  • For $5, you get $10 worth of lunch fare.

Head chef Jon Martinson and owner-sommelier David Soper incorporate fresh local ingredients into a menu brimming with unique tapas, flatbread pizzas, and other seasonal bites. Warm up with an order of rosemary-brown-butter roasted nuts ($5), or submerge tooth divers in the Cajun sweet corn and crab dip ($6). For the main course, shareable small-portion tapas entice diners with a spectrum of unique tastes. Mussels perform tableside feats of strength with a topping of red curry dashi, coconut milk, and miso butter ($8), and grilled flank steak teams up with a locavore-pleasing Clover Farm mushroom and spring-onion bread pudding ($12). At lunch, Nanny’s margherita flatbread tut-tuts unruly hunger ($6), and a mouthwatering pulled-pork sandwich served on a soft bolillo roll dives playfully into tomatillo-ancho chili sauce ($10).

Though not included in this Groupon, The Wooden Vine pairs its multifarious menu options with selections from more than 100 bottles of wine. Patrons ingest and imbibe in a welcoming, cozy interior outfitted with rustic wood accents, mounted artwork, and reinforced walls that prevent sentient vines from snaking their way inside.

Great ambience, intimate with a warm, trendy, low key vibe. Went on a Thursday night and it was a full house. Food was excellent, a little pricey but quality was worth it. Great date night out!
