What You'll Get
Yoga is a much easier way to exercise both mind and body than testing Einstein's theory of relativity by racing a beam of light. Avoid a science-related sprain with today's Groupon: for $25, you get five yoga classes at The Yoga Sanctuary in Mamaroneck (an $85 value). All classes must be used within eight weeks of the first visit.
The Yoga Sanctuary's internationally experienced teachers embrace mind-body awareness and wellness in an array of yoga classes. Originally invented to combat the stress of frequent mastodon attacks, the ancient practice of yoga continues to soothe modern stresses, ease breathing, and stimulate circulation. Beginner yogis learn fundamental postures and breathing patterns in Level 1 classes, and more advanced practitioners flex, balance, and transform their bones into rubber bands in advanced classes.
Classes of 10–15 students gain the benefits of positive group energy while maintaining an ideal ratio for instructors to provide individual guidance. Classes range from detoxifying hot Vinyasa yoga to meditative gentle yoga. The schedule is designed for all experience levels and accommodates busy schedules with morning, night, weekend, and solar-eclipse classes.

About The Yoga Sanctuary
Soothing music and soft lights reveal The Yoga Sanctuary as just that—a safe and peaceful place where guests can cast stress aside. The studio's nationally registered instructors weave their global teaching experience into each asana as they strive for—and teach the importance of—inner peace and tranquility. They work individually with guests of all ages and fitness levels, unlike the NFL and most quilting circles. With this inclusive approach, the instructors help clients unite mind, body, and spirit in a wide selection of classes, strengthen cores with Pilates exercises, and also teach postures for beginner, intermediate, and experienced students. To further the restorative effects of yoga, the studio also hosts yoga therapy sessions to help alleviate such health issues as back pain and insomnia.
The Yoga Sanctuary's onsite massage therapist intuitively customizes her kneads and strokes to reduce stress and fatigue. This can also improve joint flexibility so that guests may easily slip into complex postures or cast-iron wetsuits.
