What You'll Get
Yoga teaches people how to sustain poses while controlling their breath, a technique most yogis use to live undetected in wax museums. Steady your stillness skills with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $39 for a four week The Beginner Ashtanga yoga course (a $108 value)
- $39 for 10 led Ashtanga classes (a $150 value)
During the comprehensive four-week beginner course, skilled instructors acquaint beginning students with the Ashtanga yoga form. Seasoned yogis teach the history of Ashtanga and help students build familiarity with its practices, including sun salutations, standing postures, and breathing techniques. Over the first two weeks, students choose one of four class times—6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 5:30 a.m.—to attend as many times as they'd like Monday–Thursday. After that, students are free to take as many classes as they'd like at any time during the second two weeks.
Alternatively, students can opt to attend led Ashtanga classes, where experienced instructors lead students of all skill levels through Ashtanga's traditional sun salutations, primary series flow, and finishing asanas. Click here to see the class schedule.

About The Yoga Shala
When Krista Shirley decided she wanted to seriously pursue yoga, she traveled the world to learn the craft, studying in Thailand, Scotland, and India. After multiple trips to India she was eventually certified there, then returned to Florida to open Yoga Shala. The ashtanga-focused studio primarily holds two types of classes: led ashtanga, wherein students of all levels follow instructors through a series of postures, and Mysore ashtanga, for which students are given one-on-one instruction in a group setting. True novices might consider starting with the two-week Beginner Intro workshop, which gives more in-depth instruction on individual poses.
