About This Deal
PopUp Roof on Storage Shed
Installation in San Diego and Riverside Counties
These sheds are perfect for communities with HOA rules like the Morgan Hill HOA in Temecula California. The block walls are 5 feet high and homeowners who ask for permission to add height are told they cannot. I spoke to one there who wrote the HOA in February of 2020 and he was refused permission.
I designed sheds that are installed entirely from the inside so they can be put in tight places. As an example, this homeowner has a space 9 feet wide and 13 feet long so he wanted a shed to fit. I designed an 8 foot by 12 foot shed for him. After he was turned down about raising the wall I invented this popup roof. It is very reliable, using strong push rods to lift the roof when the door is opened and lower it when the door is closed. Each end of the shed has one push rod capable of 225 pounds of load. The roof is light - under 50 pounds total.
The sheds come with a solar panel and a 12 volt battery so power is always available. There is a switch at the door so when the door is opened the roof is lifted. There is a 2nd switch to keep the roof up when the door is closed.
Installation is made even easier by the use of thumb bolts and embedded nuts so tools are not needed.
