How long will my vision be good for after I get the procedure? 1 year? 5 years? or forever?

Michael L.  asked on  Jul 23, 2012

Dear Michael, Most patients enjoy the benefits of laser vision correction for a lifetime. A study published in the Journal of Refractive Surgery followed patients over 12 years after undergoing the procedure and found that "almost 90% of the eyes maintained or improved best corrected visual acuity" (Journal of Refractive Surgery 2006;22:871-877). Only a small percentage of patients ever require an enhancement surgery. During your consultation with the eye physician, the details of the procedure will be discussed and to determine if you are the right candidate for laser vision correction. Dr. Nazemi

Once I pay the $2999. but then find out that I am not a candidate for Lasik, what happens at that point? Also does the first appointment cost $500. or is that just for people that do not show. Will this surgery also remove cateracts and correct vision?

Edna L.  asked on  Jul 18, 2012

Hello Edna, If you are not a candidate for the LASIK procedure for any reason, and after your consultation with the doctor, a full refund will be provided by groupon. There is no additional cost for the first appointment. During your consultation with the doctor, you will be educated on the procedure and its indications. Good Luck! Veronica Patient Coordinator
