Club Inferno, a glam-rock musical based on Dante's The Divine Comedy, blends sinful women and hair-raising rock with the classic story of the afterlife. This homegrown rock-stravaganza opens with mega-star Danté (played by Peggy Leggs), performing her smash hit in concert, "I Want My Fifteen Minutes of Fame." Her number is cut short by a tragic accident, and she wakes up at the Gates of Hell. She's greeted by the poet Virgil (John Flaw) who offers to guide her back to the Land of the Living. As they begin their musical journey, each new level of Hell reveals a famous diva -- from Cleopatra to Karen Carpenter to Mama Cass -- who's suffering her own brand of torture. It's an over-the-top epic filled with eviscerations, immolations, a three-headed Hell hound and, ultimately, a spectacular musical epiphany. Featuring concept, book and lyrics by Kelly Kittell and music and lyrics by Peter Fogel, Thrillpeddlers' brash and flashy Club Inferno is set to rock San Francisco's Hypnodrome and you can get an even more intense experience with the Shock Box seats (see description for more information).
Shock Box seats (sold only in pairs)
For couples seeking privacy or an extra jolt from their visit to The Hypnodrome, “Shock Box” seats are just the thing. A Winner of SF Weekly‘s “Best of San Francisco” Award for “Best Bonus Theater Experience” our Shock Boxes are themed love seats (Heaven and Hell, The Pharaoh’s Tomb, and The Asylum of Shock) which offer the same opportunity for illicit trysting that was once a feature of many Parisian theaters — thanks to a sheer curtain that can be drawn to conceal the goings on inside each private booth.
