Timber Lodge Grill
After completing a stint with the US Marines, Dwain Guthrie changed career paths and became a chef. He went on to work at such restaurants as III Forks steakhouse in Dallas, and he even opened up a few of his own restaurants in his 17 years in the hospitality industry. Most recently, he was working as the executive kitchen manager of Oklahoma City's BJ's Restaurant. Yet he knew he wanted to open up another eatery, so when he discovered the vacant Timber Lodge in 2014, he jumped at the chance to create his own steakhouse.
There, Dwain grills hand-cut rib eyes, sirloins, and 6-ounce flatiron steaks. He also serves duck breast glazed with a bourbon-and-blackberry sauce, juicy pork chops, customer-created pastas, and fresh fish.
