I got 3 implants done last year. The implants were near my wisdom teeth so the dentist recommended me to extract the two wisdom teeth and put the screws in at the same time so I didnt have to wait for the removal healed then putting the implants after. The procedure was easy and my gum got healed quickly. After one year, one of the filling had come off so I came back to get it refilled.
This will be one of those good news / bad news reviews...
The good news: I bought one of their two implant deals last year. A good deal, plus I got an additional 25% off with my Groupon Select membership. Dr. Yoon was professional, very nice, cordial, a good communicator, and did a great job. I'm very happy with the process and result.
Now the bad news: I have a five year old implant that is failing (not one he did), and called them to see what they could do for me, since I had had such a good previous experience. I talked to his front office person, explained what I needed in detail and inquired if I could use another Groupon for that... She told me that that would not be necessary and they could do it for no more than the Groupon price directly. She also said there would be a $100 exam fee (which is out of pocket since they do not take insurance) when I came in to have Dr. Yoon look at it. Not an issue since it could be credited against the work...
After a very cursory exam upon my visit - not even an x-ray since my dentist had sent over one they took - I was ushered to the back room to discuss the costs with the same gal. This is when I learned that it would now be about $4,000, since it required an implant stud remover fee of $500, plus $1,500 for the bone graft, plus the $2,000 originally discussed in lieu of the Groupon.
I related that we had discussed all this in advance on the phone and none of this was ever brought up. I felt strongly like I was being up-sold after the 'come-on' when I'd called initially! On top of it all, she was very curt and high pressure. She did not offer any accommodations and it was a very unpleasant experience all around.
So, bottom line: If you are going simply for a Groupon implant, you will likely have a good experience and outcome. For anything beyond this, and if you have to deal with this same office person, not so much! Thus, five stars for my first experience, and zero stars for my most recent.
P.S. I have since learned that the Periodontist my general dentist normally recommends can actually do it all for less than Titanium's all-in $4,000 price.
Dr. Yoon and his staff were absolutely great. Everythhing was explained in great detail with all cost options. Staff friendly courteous, knowledgeable, caring. I went ahead and had two implants done same day. Very good and fast work with no pain. Will go back for more work. Highly recommend.
