Q&A with LaToya Williams, Head Photographer and Owner Of TMW Photography
How is your approach different than that of other professionals in your field?
I am very laid back and easy going. I like to make sure my clients are having fun while working with me. If they're having fun it will show in the end product.
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
I first developed a passion for photography in 2004 while I was living in the Bay Area in California. I started out doing amateur modeling. It was ok, but my interest was really in being behind the camera directing others. I wanted to take my ideas and produce stunning images.
What aspect of your job, or the services you offer, most often surprises people?
The fact that I offer Boudoir sessions; and they are amazed at my style of editing. I keep the customer looking natural while still removing flaws. I never "over edit" and make the clients look different or "unnatural".
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
The most amazing part of my job is that when I am no longer physically here on this earth, I will still live on through my work. My work will be here forever either on the internet, hanging in someone's home, or tucked away in a photo albulm.
