My service was a little bit lacking. Admittedly, the place was busy and I was solo, so I ate at the Sushi Bar. I had to wait about 20 min for a single seat at the bar. I would have liked for the waiter to have pointed out that there was an all-you-can-eat special. The waiter didn't check in with me very often -- he was professional but not very friendly. Most of all, I would have liked a few more refills to my soda. The first time I went to Tokyo Bay, I took my daughter and intended to use the Groupon, but there was a blackout period in the small print so we had to pay for our meals. I understand that I missed the small print, and we were there on the first day of the blackout period, but still in bothered me because we were not told that the Groupon was invalid until after the meal and I unexpectedly had to pay for the full cost of the meal. The restaurant was less busy the first time and we got much better service than this time. Still, I have to commend the restaurant on the presentation. I do not eat sushi frequently and generally stick to cooked items. The sushi was good, but it was especially well presented artistically. While I might not go back to Tokyo Bay personally very often, I would not hesitate to recommend it or to bring a friend who likes sushi. I might personally go back once in a while. I think the service would be better if they were not quite as busy.

The food was very good, although I thought the menu prices were very high for a sushi restaurant.

About Tokyo Bay Japanese Restaurant

Led by head shushi chef Toshiaki Mizutani, a Tokyo native with more than 30 years of experience, the chefs at Tokyo Bay Japanese Restaurant craft sushi rolls, teriyaki dishes, and crispy tempura-fried entrees from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Its most popular rolls include the Wuz Up Be roll, stuffed with spicy yellowtail, avocado, and green wasabi-flavored tobiko, and the Deadliest Catch roll with snow crab, avocado, mayo, and roe, all topped with grilled eel and a savory sauce. Fuji rolls are filled, volcano-style, with spicy hot sauce, and after taking a bite, diners can put out the flames that erupt from their mouths with Japanese and domestic beer, sake, and wine.

In addition to sushi, guests feast on steak, chicken, and seafood in housemade teriyaki sauce. They slurp down noodle dishes or crunch into meats, vegetables, and tofu coated in tempura batter and fried to a light, crispy finish.
