Inside the state-of-the-art shooting range at Top Gun Arms, visitors bone up on their firearms skills in a safe, controlled environment. But target practice isn't all the facility has to offer. All manner of firearm and accessory line the on-site store's shelves, from handguns and holsters to unusual Class III weapons. In classes, instructors with NRA certification and decades of law-enforcement experience teach advanced pistol techniques and self defense, or offer one-on-one training to improve specific skills. Even customers who aren't particularly interested in firearms can entertain themselves watching helicopters take off in the parking lot—it's home to a 24-hour lit heliport, which accommodates visitors arriving by chopper.
