One of Benjamin Franklin’s last theories was that taking in a good view while eating aids both in digestion and in the ability to squeeze milk out of coal. Prove him half-right with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of regional artisanal fare at Top of the Rock located at The Buttes, A Marriott Resort, in Tempe.

Top of the Rock's 270-degree view marinates meals in dusky tones as diners forage in a new summer menu of seafood, meats, and salads with ingredients sourced from regional and local farms. New executive chef Gregory J. Wiener draws eyes away from the arresting panorama of tap-dancing mountains with his artfully plated dishes, such as the sweet-chili-glazed Colorado lamb ($34), keeping the company of lemon-mint rice, baby carrots, english peas, and a trilogy of mustards. The 16-ounce rib eye ($38) sates hearty appetites, and the Arizona Garden takes a leaf-by-leaf approach with its local, seasonal veggies ($15). Meanwhile, the Shetland Scottish salmon ($18) keeps warm in a kilt of red quinoa pleated with Queen Creek Olive Mill olives, grapefruit, and Fossil Creek yogurt delivered on a caber-tossed cucumber. Pint-sized diners can enjoy a specialty kids' menu that includes grilled local corn, potato gnocchi, cheezy pasta, and more ($3 each).

Top of the Rock's floor-to-ceiling windows keeps diners enthralled as they relax with a prickly pear margarita ($10) or white sangria ($8). This Groupon is also valid for the summer happy hour, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday–Sunday, including specialty appetizers ($3–$6), entrees ($6–$20), and cocktails ($3–$9) such as the kiwi caipirinha.
