From author Roald Dahl's beloved story comes the dreamy adventure about a 15-foot-tall vegetarian giant with vocabulary problems who teams up with a little orphan girl. Young Sophie discovers the BFG outside of her bedroom window late one night and travels with him to his home in giant country. There, she's introduced to his "jumbly" world filled with jars of good dreams that the kind vegetarian giant delivers to children. Together, the heroes -- along with the assistance of the Queen of England, the British Army and the Royal Air Force -- set out to save the children of England from a host of not-so-nice child-eating giants. Before Disney's big-screen version of this children's literature favorite hits theaters, catch David Wood's exciting 90-minute stage adaptation at the James Armstrong Theater at Torrance Cultural Arts Center.
