Q:

Do the various courses, once completed provide a certificaiton of any kind? Are you able to revisit courses multiple times during the year as a refresher?

William C.  asked on  Jul 22, 2013

A:

Thanks for the questions. First the answer to your second question: Yes; you can view the courses as many times as you want throughout the duration of the 12-month subscription term. As for your first question regarding certification, none of the courses contain a certificate of completion, but there are work along with project files with every lesson. The project files can work as a certificate of completion because you can complete the same projects as the instructor in each lesson then save as a completed file or print copies of the completed lessons. There are also test assessments with all of the Office 2010 courses, which are located in the project files tab within the online player.

Q:

I looked at the sample lessons, but didn't see any step by step instructions where the student can stop the lesson and do it herself. And if someone has never used an application (let's say Excel) where would they start?

Patricia J.  asked on  Jul 23, 2013

A:

Thanks for the question. There are work-along project-files located in the full purchased program (as opposed to the sample lessons), allowing you to follow along step by step on the same projects as the instructor. You can stop, rewind and fast forward as many times as you need to and watch each course as many times as you want throughout the duration of your subscription term.

Q:

If a person has Office 2007 will they still be able to learn to use them more completely? Or is it necessary to have Office 2010? I've used PowerPoint and Excel to a certain extent but don't know how to many of the features available? What level of proficiency should one have to benefit from these courses? From the offer's description I'd be closer to "Office enthusiast" as to the other levels cited.

Cliff C.  asked on  Jul 23, 2013

A:

Hi Cliff: There is Microsoft Office 2007 & 2010 training available in the subscription. Both the Office 2007 & 2010 are for anyone from beginner to intermediate to advanced. You can view the courses as many times as you want throughout the duration of the 12-month subscription term.
