Choose Between Two Options

Students of various fitness and experience levels soar several feet above the ground while activating all muscle groups in classes that draw from aerial circus arts. New students must first take one 60-minute Intro to Aerial Fitness class—available Tuesdays at 7:45 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:15 a.m.—before venturing into other classes. See the full schedule, which includes traditional Tough Lotus classes, as well as adventurous Playful Lotus classes, Balanced Lotus classes with 30 minutes of spinal decompression, and classes customized to help men cross-train.

Tough Lotus

Tough Lotus owner-instructor Marnie Valliere along with a team of three instructors demonstrate the workouts from aerial-fitness classes, moving with such ease and grace that it's hard to believe they aren't full-time acrobats. Students hover above the studio's black-and-white checkered floor inside aerial gyms suspended from the ceiling. From this perch, they bend their bodies through routines that activate various muscle groups and increase flexibility, balance, muscle tone, and core strength, improving functional movement. In any given class, a collection of students of varying experience levels, body types, and ages follow every movement as they soar forward and back in Superman-like poses or lift their legs.
