Q:

I am interested in an outing for my department during a weekday. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on company outings. Are we able to stock non-alcoholic drinks such as tea and soda?

Karina F.  asked on  Feb 18, 2013

A:

Hi Karina, of course!! We have many tours that don't have alcoholic beverages aboard. Our coolers are there for you to fill with whichever non-alcoholic beverages you wish. It is also great to bring snacks, desserts, etc! If there is a specific date you are looking for, I recommend calling us first to make sure it is available. The Groupon expires and must be used before May 15th. Thank you, Sarah - Traveling Tap

Q:

How is this considered "half-off" if I can book it directly on your website for exactly the same price as the Groupon offer?

Jeff C.  asked on  Feb 16, 2013

A:

Hi Jeff, The prices listed on our website are per hour, where the Groupon price is for a 2-hour tour. You are saving 50% with the Groupon offer. We require 2-hours minimum for a tour, but many groups choose to add an hour and do 3, which is why our prices are listed per hour on our website. Thanks, Sarah - Traveling Tap

Q:

Can I use both group ons at the same time? I would like to have 2 traveling taps going at the same time, same route for my husbands 50th birthday.

Kathy B.  asked on  Feb 14, 2013

A:

Hi Kathy, I am sorry, but we only allow one Groupon to be used at once. Thanks, Sarah -Traveling Tap

Q:

Is there a height minimum to ride the Traveling Tap? I think it was the Pedal Pub that I wasn't allowed on because I'm 4'11'' and the minimum height was 5'1'' or something. Also, what time do we have to start the tour?

Heather M.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi Heather, thank you for your interest in Traveling Tap! We do not have a height minimum. One of the superior features on the Traveling Tap is the adjustable seats. I think that you will be just fine at 4'11, however, only you can say what is comfortable and what is not. We also have 2 bicycle seats that are not pedaling seats, a back bench and one standing position in the center aisle alongside the bartender. Our standard tour times are 10am-12pm, 12:30pm-2:30pm, 3-5pm, 5:30-7:30pm, and 8-10pm. The routes that are available for the Groupon are downtown Minneapolis, Northeast Minneapolis, and downtown St. Paul. Q:

I don't quite understand what I am paying for here? It's $165 and it doesn't include alcohol? I am basically just paying a person $80/hour to steer while I pedal; while expecting a tip on top of that? Is there more to this that I am missing?

Brandon O.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi Brandon, Correct, the $165 does not include alcohol. The cost of the Groupon is at a 50% discount which includes the bike rental, coolers and ice, a driver and a bartender. Our bike is an upgraded version of a beer bike, with seat backs, adjustable seats, a misting system for hot summer days, built in coolers, a 6-speaker stereo and more. Please visit our website www.travelingtap.com for more information including pictures and an FAQ section. Thanks, Sarah -Traveling Tap

Q:

I'm new to Groupon so I have a question about the expiration date. When it says that it expires on May 15th 2013 does this mean if I purchase this Groupon I would have to schedule a time to use it before May 15th without having to pay full price? I am planning on doing this for my boyfriend's birthday in July so I'm wondering if I would be able to use this promotion at that time. Thanks!

Jaime E.  asked on  Feb 13, 2013

A:

Hi Jamie, Thank you for your interest in Traveling Tap! Yes, you are correct. The expiration for the Groupon promotion is May 15th. However, the amount that is paid for the Groupon is still valid after that and can be used toward a Traveling Tap tour after the Groupon promotional period ends. So, in short, you would not be able to use the promotional value in July. Please let me know if you have any other questions. -Sarah, Traveling Tap
