Sisters Lisa, Gina, and Carla began their journey to becoming the owners of Tre Sorelle—"three sisters" in Italian—in a farmers'-market booth. There, they sold homemade pasta, sauce, and meatballs, all based on family recipes they'd grown up enjoying. The public enjoyed their family recipes, too. These comforting staples became the centerpiece of an ever-growing menu, which in turn became the inspiration for a new eatery. Today, the sisters and their staff at Tre Sorelle craft pastas, Panini, and salads for their guests, serving simple dishes in unique ways. For instance, they invite guests to bring their own pan and request a particular Italian recipe. They'll fill the pan with the dish and send folks home with full permission to pretend they prepared the meal themselves.
