Sometimes our dreams are within reach, but more often, those dreams are on the highest of high shelves, beside the BB gun and the cupcakes "for tomorrow." Reach that shelf with today's Groupon to stretch your muscles and muscle your stretches with five yoga or Pilates sessions for $25 at Triad Yoga & Pilates (a $70 value). The clean and accommodating studio (located between Irvine and Newport Beach) was recently named the OC's Best Yoga Studio by CityVoters, and it won Best of Citysearch in 2008.
Yoga and Pilates come together in Triad's clean and comfortable studio. Strengthen and tone muscles in a body-sculpting fusion class that combines yoga, Pilates, dance techniques, and movement therapy. Or wake up with an early-rise yoga class. Triad offers diverse class options such as rigorous Fig Yoga (for building strength and endurance) and Forrest Yoga, which is based on Ana Forrest's methods of honing deep breathing skills. Classes take place every day of the week, with morning sessions starting as early as 8 a.m. (click here to see the schedule).
Triad's friendly, enthusiastic instructors are fully certified and know how to help students sweat and stretch until they're calmer, more energized, and more revitalized than the 217 rechargeable AA batteries that power Greater America. If you're new to yoga, this is a great chance to learn the downward dog, upward dog, and the omniscient narrator. Yoga stretches your muscles, relieving stiffness and pain; it also increases flexibility and strength (deep core muscles support each pose), which will improve your range of motion, balance, and posture, which are vital to moving up in the corporate world, seeing over the steering wheel, and slicing your morning bagel. Plus, parking is never a problem at Triad; there's underground parking adjoining the studio stairwell.
This Groupon is good for new clients only. All five classes must be redeemed within 10 weeks after taking the first class.
CityVoter has recently listed Triad Yoga & Pilates as the OC's Best Yoga Studio. Four Citysearchers award the studio five stars and the Best of Citysearch 2008 title, while seven Yelpers rate it a near-perfect 4.5:
- Very cozy and personal yoga studio. Teachers get to know each student and take interest in their progress; making adjustments and praises to guide their practice. – Laura G., CityVoter
- Classes are challenging and fun rather than repetitive and boring like some other classes. I always feel completely "reset" after class and this is great strength training as well. A total body mental and physical experience. – stephinhb, CityVoter
- Fabulous teachers and environment - feels like family. Just a fantastic place to get recentered throughout the week. – emobs311, CityVoter

The instructors at Triad Yoga & Pilates lead classes that not only strengthen students' bodies, but also increase their awareness. The studio's seven yoga classes cater to various skill levels and needs. Beginners might try out a hatha yoga session, while more experienced yogis head to a flow class. Meanwhile, two Pilates classes offer floor exercises that create leaner, stronger muscles or traditional Pilates exercises at a faster pace.
