Generally, sipping wine in a cave is frowned upon. But at Trinitas Cellars, it's encouraged. Inside Trinitas Cellars' 40-foot-deep estate cave, guests sip custom wine flights and learn about flavor notes while surrounded by beautiful natural stone, extravagant furnishings, and Batman's surplus gadgets. Across the street at The Trinitas Library, they take education a step further. There, patrons learn about the life cycle of the grape, the different vineyard seasons, the trinity of elements that make up Trinitas Cellars's philosophy of sun, soil, and humanity, and the lives of the growers who cultivate it all. The library also offers the opportunity to taste a handful of Trinitas's library vintages, alongside their Reserve and Family Collection wines not poured in the Estate Cave, including an Amarone, which the winery produces in Italy.
The Estate tasting cave, the Trinitas library, and vineyards—as well as remote wine bars throughout the Meritage Collection of properties—are the product of one single family: Garrett and Betsy Busch own and operate Trinitas. The family harnesses Napa's grapes and climate to handcraft full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignons, bright Chardonnays, and other varietals under the Trinitas label.
