What You'll Get
Long feathers are a symbol of prestige, which is why the national bird was changed from marshmallow Peeps. Put prestige in your hair with today’s Groupon to True Salon and Spa in Elk Grove. Choose between the following options:
- For $22, you get a cut, style, shampoo, and conditioning (up to a $53 value).
- For $20, you get two feather extensions with installation (a $45 value).<p>
The highly trained staff at True Salon and Spa draws on years of professional experience to pamper and dress tresses with personalized care. Feather hair extensions enliven head nests with colorful feathers, creating a style that has been spotted on the scalps of celebrities and mallard ducks. Skilled fingers install the extensions by clamping feathers directly to locks with stylish beads that don’t damage the hair. The avian-chic result can be shampooed, brushed, styled, and even curled with an iron. Alternatively, locks can stand before the scrutiny of a styling expert, who will attempt to execute the perfect cut and style. Snipped ‘dos make their way to an indoor water source to avoid tumbling down hills with buckets and to receive a shampoo and conditioning treatment. Hydrating hair salves help replenish moisture, increase shine, and heal tresses frayed by excessive sunlight, chlorine, and coloring treatments.
True Salon and Spa’s inviting décor pleases eyes and eases minds with cool, earthy tones of green and brown, wood-grain accents, and cushy leather seating. The charming spa occupies the space of the historical Elk Grove Fire Station, easily claiming the coveted position as the city’s most relaxing municipal building.

About True Salon and Spa
A honeycomb of private treatment rooms and 12 hairstyling stations at True Salon and Spa receive clients with open arms. Owners Sharon and Whitney Breault aim to please customers with hair services powered by Pureology skincare products. As an added bonus, Sharon keeps the lobby stocked with the oldest of hospitality strategies: food. The scent of fresh coffee wafts through the air from its perch alongside a plate of cookies, and the rotating variety is based on "whatever I'm hungry for," Sharon laughs.
As clients sip wine and munch on hors d'oeuvres during after-hours appointments, a team of more than 20 stylists and estheticians go to work on hair, skin, and disobedient wings. Skilled hands beautify tresses, smooth skin during aromatherapy body treatments, and customize botanical facials with skin analyses. "It's one of the higher-end salons in Elk Grove," Sharon says, referencing her top-notch estheticians and pearl-gray decor.
