What You'll Get
Watching VHS tapes and old film reels is like using dial-up Internet, eating unsliced bread, or making ice skates by taping butter knives to shoe bottoms. Let go of the ways of the past with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $35 worth of VHS, tape, slide, film, and photo conversion to DVD, hard drive, and more at TVPro in historic Soulard.
TVPro converts content from dated image- and sound-capturing media to up-to-date digital formats. All the media it receives stays on-site to be worked on by careful AV experts, rather than being shipped to underground bunkers where moles make DVDs by dipping CDs in tar. Submit an old reel of 8 mm, Super 8 mm, or 16 mm film and, for $0.18 per foot, it will be returned in a more agile DVD or hard drive format. VHS, Betamax, Hi8, and MiniDV collections can morph into DVD-player occupants ($15 per hour); old audiocassettes ($15 per hour) and records (a 45 rpm LP costs $15) can turn into of-this-age CDs; and photo collections ($1 per photo) can migrate to DVD, ensuring memories never endure refrigerator theft.

TVPro audio and visual professionals have worked to preserve and enhance customer memories since 1984. When converting media in their studio, team members carefully handle tapes with skill gained from years of handling analog formats. They upload audio from reel-to-reel tapes, vinyl records, and audio cassettes onto digital CDs and convert 8mm and 16mm film to DVD to keep footage from being permanently lost to damage or natural deterioration. In addition to transferring files to digital media or cyborg braincases, TVPro documents weddings and special events, and has been ranked by CityVoter as the Best Videographer in St. Louis.
