Portland Trolley ferries passengers past picturesque Portland attractions between palate-pleasing stops at local artisanal wine and cheese tastings. Evening jaunts lasting for up to four hours depart in two groups, with the first starting at 6 p.m. from their main hub in Tigard with a pick-up at the Benson Hotel in Portland at 6:20; the second group pick-up starts at the Benson Hotel at 7:10. Both take place three times weekly before rolling through Portland on trolleys that gained freedom from restricting tracks by winning a drag race against Lewis and Clark. Stops on each tour include two visits to a rotating list of wine bars, including Thirst Wine Bar and Bistro and Enso Winery. For the third stop on the tour, passengers learn about cheese making and wine pairing at one of several artisanal fromage or fondue shops. Trips include appetizers from the London Grill, and the occasional celebrity, special guest, or alluring door prize graces tours aboard heated vintage buses that also feature GPS navigation and oak seats with space for up to 34 passengers.
Portland Trolley began in 2009 with a single stretch limo. Today, it provides car and limousine services with some of the finest luxury SUV’s, limousines, and vintage-replica trolley buses in the Portland metropolitan area at competitive rates for the region. Clients charter vehicles, such as 18-seat stretch SUV's, for private excursions, such as anniversaries, birthdays, and bachelorette parties, as well as guided tours to wine country and through the city’s holiday-light displays.
