It's transportation around the city without enough buses or space at the end of the day. Depending on the bus you got determined if you would get headphones to listen to the pre-recorded tour, unless you had your own. Not very clean, stops aren't at the actual sites so there is a decent amount of walking, not just front door service. When you get it at a discount it's ALMOST worth it, but next time we plan on navigating the city via subway.

The staff helping scan the vouchers are not interested in customers who have already paid so don’t expect great service. The bus did not go on the route described. If you’re using it as a true tour not worth it, if you’re using it as a form of transportation not too bad.

Freundlicher Fahrer. Ansagen vom Band eher oberflächlich.

Had ear buds to hear a tour, but couldn’t really understand what they were saying. Went to our first “hop on” stop and there was a long line. We were told it would be 30 minute wait. Our time in NYC was limited, so we decided to walk to the next closest stop. It was about a 20 minute walk and there was no line. Take away: Times Square stop is crowded.

The tour is fine-- it is great to get from point A to point B without having to take the subway system-- BUT, they end at 5pm, which wouldn't be that bad if they had enough buses and competent people working at the bus stops. The initial people we encountered near M&M were very efficient and all seemed to know exactly what they were doing. After that, it was hit or miss with lots of misses. The drivers were ALL rude. Part of it, I believe, was just culturally different ways to address people, but I saw a lot of people (including in my own party) who were very upset about being treated rudely. We wasted a ridiculous amount of time at what ended up being our last stop. We walked up at 3:45 and didn't get on a bus until almost 4:30 b/c they were so crowded. I'm happy they weren't crushing people together, but they need to come up with a better system or stay open later. I've been on this one and similar buses before but I'm seriously doubting I will do this again after this past experience UNLESS I go at a very off time of year. Summer is not the best time, which is obviously disappointing b/c that's when most people will want to go. We went in April and used a different bus without any issue, but I"m sure this would be same at a less popular time of year.

About CitySights NY

CitySights NY lets visitors and residents alike see the city from a thousand different angles. There are boat tours, on yachts and clippers alike, which might include a leisurely dinner as the sun sets or a lap around the Statue of Liberty. Helicopter tours buzz around the famous statue as well, or over Manhattan. For those looking to experience the city from inside a theater, trips to Broadway offer a glimpse into New York's dramatic legacy. There are also walking tours for those who like to keep a more leisurely pace or try to pet every dog in the city.

The company's double-decker tour buses, though, whisk visitors around the Big Apple, making stops at the city's top attractions, including Times Square, the One World Observatory, SoHo, and Chinatown. Along the way, guides narrate the tour, adding details about the city's rich history and pointing out which pigeons are friendly. Each passenger seat comes with its own speaker to ensure that you don't miss a thing. Most tours are hop-on/hop-off, meaning you can take as much time as you want at sites such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Central Park Zoo before catching another bus later in the day.
