What You'll Get
Getting away from the city reminds you what America was like before President Taft followed through on his promises of “a skyscraper on every square mile” and “no more trees looking spooky at night.” Reunite with Mother Nature with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $29 for a half-day ducky trip on the Kennebec River for one (a $64 value)
- $55 for a half-day ducky trip on the Kennebec River for two (a $128 value)
Rafters traverse the gentle currents aboard inflatable single-person kayaks known as Duckies, all the while taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest and wildlife. Before sending customers on their way, U.S. Rafting instructors teach them the basics of piloting a kayak, from how to paddle and enter the Ducky to how to steer around obstacles and deploy the cloaking devices in case fish obtain a missile lock. This deal also includes the road access fee.

About U.S. Rafting
Whether cruising along the lower portion of the Kennebec River or crashing through the Class V rapids of the Dead River, the guides at U.S. Rafting treat groups to the varied outdoor adventures of Maine's untapped wilderness. Along with the whitewater odysseys, explorers can hike to the majestic 90-foot Moxie Falls, trade baseball cards with black bears on the Appalachian Trail, and paddle canoes on Indian Pond—a lake that's home to deer, moose, and several species of fish including bass and salmon. Located on the property, the Outpost Lodge accommodates up to 20 visitors in a knotty pine wilderness atmosphere. .
