Q:

The deal is for 2 tickets of value upto $12 each. So if the normal price of a 3D movie is under $12, then can I use this for no additional charges? Also I use it for online booking?

Sulabh S.  asked on  Jun 22, 2012

A:

Groupons cannot be redeemed online. They can only be redeemed at the box office. There is an additional upcharge for any 3D showing when using your Groupon.

Q:

I am in a wheelchair. Is this deal good for the Ultra Luxe theatres with spaces in back for wheelchairs. I am talking about the smaller theaters with lmiited seating.

Kelly L.  asked on  Jun 22, 2012

A:

Yes, all auditoriums, including the Star Class auditoriums at the UltraLuxe locations, have ADA compliant wheelchair space. In these non-stadium seating auditoriums the access is in the back.

Q:

We went today to use a prior Groupon. We have enjoyed Ultra-Star in the past. We were very saddened to hear we could NOT spend the $2.00 and upgrade into the nicer theatre. Because my daughter was under 18, they would not allow it. I was a bit angry...to be honest. We had watched in that area of the theatre not long ago. It did not say on the Groupon we could not upgrade. We drove a bit of a distance to get to Ultra-Star. The sales/service was not very nice or kind. As a matter of fact, the lady at the snack bar was the worst! Believe me....we will not do that again. Harkins...you have our loyalty!

deborah p.  asked on  Jun 21, 2012

A:

The Groupon can be used in the star class auditoriums at no additional fee, however, there are age limits for these auditoriums that are strictly enforced. Thank you for your feedback regarding the service you received and it will be looked into immediately. We hope that you will visit UltraStar again soon.

Q:

Must both tickets be redeemed at the same time or can one be used for one date/time and the other used for a different date/time?

Greg T.  asked on  Jun 20, 2012

A:

Both admissions need to be redeemed for the same movie at the same showtime.

Q:

So you can buy the Groupon and then upgrade when you redeem your tickets? What do you mean by "must be redeemed for the same movie and showtime"?

Lorie N.  asked on  Jun 20, 2012

A:

You may pay an upgrade fee at the box office to see a 3D film, experience D-BOX seats or the IMAX & UltraMaximum giant screens. Both movie tickets must be used for the same movie and showtime means that both admissions have to be used together at the same time: example: both need to be redeemed for a 10:00 am showing of BRAVE...one cannot be used for a 10:00 am showing of BRAVE and another for a 12:00 showing of Madagascar 3.

Q:

Is this valid for new movies (Brave is the one I'm wondering about)?

Natalie  asked on  Jun 20, 2012

A:

The Groupon is valid for "Brave" as it is not designated as a special engagment. Special Engagements restrictions vary by studio. Not all new movies are special engagements. For example, this week's new releases of "Brave," "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, " and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" are NOT special engagment films. The showtime pages of our website at www.UltraStarMovies.com will always clearly designate which films are special engagements.
