Q:

I have some small spider veins on the ankles, some up higher around the knee and some on the back of the legs behind the knee area and the back of the leg behind the knee was more varicose and I purchased 3, 30 minutes sessions would that take care of the problem areas or would I have to purchase more?

Lisa L.  asked on  Mar 20, 2013

A:

I believe they should be sufficient. However, do check with their office by calling 901.842.9332.

A:

Hi Lisa! It sounds like you did the smart thing by purchasing 3 sessions, and you certainly got the BEST deal! But it's impossible to tell how many session's you really need until Nurse Tracy sees you, does her assessment, and then we see how well you respond to your first treatment session. Most people we see need no more than 3 sessions. Some need more, some less; it will depend on your personal case. Rest assured, we'll recommend only the treatment you need to get the look you want. So it's important now to get your appointment set for your first session! Visit www.unpuckerd.com and click on locations, then call the location of your choice and get scheduled asap, because our books are filling up fast with this offer! We can't wait to meet you! :-)

Q:

Are treatments covered by insurance?

Willistein W.  asked on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hi, Willistein! Spider vein treatments are mostly cosmetic. More severe veins could qualify for insurance coverage. Nurse Tracy should be able to identify that for you after examination.

Palak Q.  from  Groupon  replied on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hi Willstein! Spider vein treatment is a cosmetic procedure not usually covered by insurance, so we do not file with medical insurance companies. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards for any of our Med-Aesthetics services.

Q:

If there are 2 or 3 (small) spider veins, will the 1 thirty minute treatment take care of more than one?

Loretta H.  asked on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

It depends on the length of the veins, Loretta! Nurse Tracy will have to examine them first. You can call (901) 842-9332 for further information.

Palak Q.  from  Groupon  replied on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hi Loretta! In many cases, one treatment is adequate to treat several smaller problem areas. The areas that concern you most will be treated during your first session. Every patient is unique, and it is always best to personally consult with Nurse Tracy to determine what treatment is appropriate. Sometimes, follow-on sessions are needed to get the more stubborn spider veins to fade more completely. The number of sessions needed depends on: 1. how many areas there are to treat, AND 2. how stubborn any particular area happens to be after its initial treatment. Call our office if you would like to talk more about it! (901) 842-9332 :-)

Q:

Hello - during a 30 minute session, how many spider veins can you treat? Is it time to work on both legs? Thanks.

Sheryl H.  asked on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hello, Sheryl. It all comes down to the nature/severity/length of the veins. You can call and talk to Mr. Bob Hendry, the assistant director, at (901) 842-9332 for further questions.

Palak Q.  from  Groupon  replied on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hi Sheryl! Both legs will be treated during your first 30 minute session, and the areas that concern you most will be addressed. Since every patient is unique, it's best to consult with our nurse to determine the extent of treatment you may require. People who are concerned about having spider veins in multiple areas, may be wise to purchase 2 or 3 sessions while this offer is available, to ensure they get enough treatment to get the results they want at the absolute best price ever! :-)

Q:

What are the restrictions after having the procedure? When could you exercise again?

Catherine H.  asked on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hey, Catherine! Not much other than wearing a hose and not straining your legs too much. For more details, please contact Nurse Tracy or Mr. Bob Hendry at (901) 842-9332. Thank you!

Palak Q.  from  Groupon  replied on  Mar 19, 2013

A:

Hi Catherine! We encourage walking for 30 minutes immediately after the procedure. Running and plyometrics-type exercise, and hot baths or tubs are discouraged for at least 48 hours. Just keep in mind that the vessels being treated need a chance to heal for your treatment to have its best results! You will be able to drive home right after the procedure, and conduct a pretty daily normal routine. Just ask Nurse Tracy about any specific concerns you may have when you see her for your appointment. :-)

Q:

It says clients wear graduated compression stockings after the treatment. I assume those can be purchased for an additional cost and if so how much do those cost?

Lisa L.  asked on  Mar 18, 2013

A:

Hello, Lisa! These stockings look just like a panty hose. These cost $45 per pair, just what the drug stores charge. You can buy them at UnPuckerd too. Hope this helps!

Palak Q.  from  Groupon  replied on  Mar 18, 2013

A:

You'll need either thigh-length or panty-hose style compression hose -> to cover your entire legs. If you bring your own, make sure they provide at least 18 mmHg pressure. If you don't have them, Nurse Tracy will provide them at the time of treatment. Cost is $45. :-)

Bob H.  from  Merchant  replied on  Mar 18, 2013

Q:

How long do you have to wear the compression stockings following treatment and how often? 24 hours/day?

Susan O.  asked on  Mar 18, 2013

A:

You'll have to wear them for a week, Susan.

Q:

how many treatments does it usually take to get completely rid of spider veins (mostly on legs)

Marsha C.  asked on  Mar 16, 2013

A:

Hello, Marsha! It really depends on the severity of veins. For mild veins it takes just one treatment, and for others, up to three. However, Ms. Traci can determine that after examining your veins.
