The Spring Wine Festival takes place on May 10th from noon to 6 p.m. Each ticket includes access to a Unionville wine tasting, a tour of the winery, and a souvenir glass. Admission for children 12 or younger is free. The festival includes live performances of energetic rock covers and original songs by two bands: Tastes Like Chicken and The DADZ. Visitors can also take in specialty food demonstrations and wine trivia contests, or take part in kids' activities such as flower pot painting or pony rides. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to take in the rolling New Jersey countryside.
The award-winning wines of Unionville Vineyards are made from ripe grapes that grow across five estate vineyards spreading over 54 acres of land in three New Jersey counties. The vineyard offerings include varietals such as Chardonnay, Syrah, and Pinot Noir. The vineyards' first vines were planted in 1988, and Napa Valley veteran Cameron Stark has worked steadily to craft world-class wines in New Jersey wine country. Unionville's wines are regularly reviewed and highly acclaimed by national and regional wine writers and neighborhood wine enthusiasts alike.
