Today's Groupon tilts the odds of a successful fashion quest in your favor: for $25, you get $50 worth of clothing and accessories at Uniquities, which has four locations in Cameron Village and North Hills in Raleigh as well as downtown Chapel Hill and Durham.
With a mission to adorn living mannequins, owner Julie Jennings has collected a diverse array of designer dresses, denim, shoes, accessories, and other boutique fashions. Filling the racks and shelves is more than 1,000 pairs of premium denim adorned with labels such as 7 For All Mankind, J Brand, and Citizens of Humanity. In addition to the big-name designers, shoppers can find smaller, hard-to-find designers intermingling with the well-known threads. Garb T-shaped torsos with Splendid tees ($55) and naked necks with patterned Tolani scarves ($85). Uniquities also provides a free basic hem on any full-price denim to sheathe calves inside perfectly proportioned leg sleeves.
Uniquities has been featured in a number of magazines, including Lucky, Vogue, and Marie Claire. Citysearchers and Yelpers both give it an average of four stars and more than 1,600 Facebook users like it:
- This place was way too much of a temptation when I went to UNC, had no car, and lived within walking distance of its glamorous offerings. – Christina G., Yelp
- This is a sexy boutique that keeps designer labels on their racks at all times. The quality of their merchandise is equal to the price you pay and the excellent service present here.
