Ancient yogis were famed for their ability to live in solitude, to exist in peace with nature, and to turn into raccoons whenever they were near a garbage can. - $35 for an adult five-class pass (a $70 value).
- $25 for a kids' five-class pass (a $50 value).
Universal Spirit's founder, Stacey Vann, has made it her goal to help people achieve yogic health while letting their spirits soar like balloons filled with bald eagles. Fifteen experienced instructors welcome students of all skill levels with a genuine namaste. Adult classes include an extensive list of yogic styles, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyegnar, Kundalini, and sourdough twist. Nontraditionalists and playground enthusiasts can opt for Hula-Hoop Yoga, which uses a weighted hoop to transport whoever stands inside on a Hawaiian vacay while simultaneously shaping frosty six-packs. Kids' classes at Universal Spirit come from a variety of approaches, including YogaKids, Itsy Bitsy Yoga, and Indigo Yoga. Kids classes are divided by age group, with offerings appropriate for young yoginos from 6 weeks old to 18 years old. Classes are small enough to give each student plenty of peg-leg room. Spots can be reserved online. Universal Spirit is located on Fifth Avenue and Mill Street just south of Naperville High School.
Parents can always accompany kids for free, but parental accompaniment is only necessary for children under 3.

- As a newcomer to yoga, this studio was excellent. It offers many different classes and teaching styles. I was able to take an assortment of classes to find which style and instructor was best for me. – Bggirl, Yahoo! Local
Universal Spirit Yoga
For more than fifteen years, Universal Spirit Yoga’s experienced instructors have taught yoga, curvy yoga, hot yoga, and meditation classes at their Naperville studio. Classic hatha yoga offers an introduction to alignment and basic technique. Several specialty classes target all age groups—there are Baby and Me, kid, and pre-teen classes as well as yoga sessions designed for those age 50 and above. During the Yoga Scents class, an instructor uses music and aromatherapy for a multisensory lesson that’s far more effective than yoga with periodic foghorn blasts.
