Football, or "pigskin," originally a pork byproduct, has become America's most popular pork-related pastime after recently topping baseball—a byproduct of sausage races. Experience two of the country's athletic exports with today's deal: for $25, you get an athletic ticket package (one football ticket and two basketball tickets) for the Buffalo Bulls at the University at Buffalo (up to a $66 value). The football ticket can be for any of the remaining two home games this season (Friday, November 12 at 2.p.m., vs. Ball State or Saturday, November 20 at 2.p.m., vs. Eastern Michigan) and the two basketball tickets can be for any 2010–11 men's or women's game.
The University at Buffalo is one of the flagship schools of the SUNY system, and facilitates 20 Division I athletic teams. Football fans can head to the 29,000-seat UB Stadium to cheer on the team as they juke, jive, and shutterbug their way to victory. Newly hired football coach Jeff Quinn has led teams to five conference championships in his past eight seasons, and the Bulls defense will be helmed by preseason All-American safety Davonte Shannon.
After satisfying a football-shaped itch, secure seats to watch the men’s or women’s basketball team ball it up at Alumni Arena. Star senior Kourtney Brown, on pace to break multiple school records this year, will lead the veteran-packed women’s basketball team against rivals such as St. Bonaventure, while the men’s team features slam-dunk expert Mitchell Watt.
